I have had an extremely difficult day but having a friend to share it all with has been the biggest blessing.
It is physical pain but like I’ve said before I prefer that over mental anguish any day.
I met my new friend who has become a confidante, inspiration and true friend in every sense of the word and it hasn’t even been a week.
We both are cherishing it and after today, the bonds of love and compassion are even stronger.
She follows my blogging and is quite the encourager to continue to write from my heart so she will be reading this and she gave me permission to share her story of hope, inspiration and love. I am also posting here a few of my favorite bloggers’ blogs as I get so much out of them and this community. I’m sorry I can’t mention them all but want to mention 4 that touch my heart and soul with every blog. I don’t always comment but sometimes do and am learning so much from them.
Wordy Spirit is exactly what her name describes of her, but every word has depth and meaning to it. She is also very pregnant so while she supports me I support her in prayer for her and her baby.
Then there’s Grace of the Sun. She is the poet among us and blogs not just one poem a day but two or more. So meaningful all of the time and has published much of her poetry. Thank you Grace for your wonderful sharing of poems that are so deep.
KK is also a poet and an amazing person and writer. He blogs in two languages so be sure to scroll down for the English version. Beautiful pictures and lately lots of smiling babies. Thanks KK for all you do in this blogging community.
And last but definitely not least is Wynne of Surprised by Joy. I connected with her through her Sunday blogs with her father’s wisdom and wit through Sunday funnies. But she blogs often and tells the most powerful stories using her awesome children’s antics often as a catalyst.
I hope my new friend enjoys all these blogs as much as I do!
Ok now for the story that came about because I responded to her need off a post on Facebook. It is often that when I reach out to help another I receive the greater benefit and that is the case with my new forever friend.
She is terminally ill with a very rare disease. But she has already outlived all the predictions of her prognosis because she is a fighter and is the epitome of an indomitable spirit. She is also a woman of God, which means she is a prayer warrior, grandma of 9 grandbabies and proud to call her my friend.
I could go on about all I am learning from her but she is going to bed soon and I want her to read this before she goes to bed.
I love you sis! Thank you so much for blessing me with your friendship, prayers and jokes. Here’s to many more years of friendship. Big hugs from California.
That’s all tonight world.
